vista
no aparece. ¿Alguien sabe como puedo quitarla? y volver a instarlarla.

Un saludo.

Hello yonisoto,

Windows Defender generally can not be uninstalled from Vista where it's part
of the OS:
-=-

Going to the portal, sometimes going there, fix different issues, like this,
Consider going to the secuяity portal

<http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/>

and downloading the 32-bit definitions for Windows Defender to the desktop,
then double-click them to apply.

See if that both brings you up to date, and perhaps improves on the behavior
in future.

No joy..then

"sfc /scannow"

Maybe you have a corrupted files

If you have a retail, as opposed to OEM copy, you might be able to do
that--that would be a good thing to pursue.

With no other security software running, it might be worth giving

sfc /scannow

a try--at an elevated command prompt, with your Vista dvd in the drive.

(in Vista, Defender is part of the OS, so you have to repair the OS.)

I hope this post is helpful.

Let us know how it works ºut.

Good luck
