Installing the Real Time Clock (RTC) Battery

The RTC (Real Time Clock) Battery is a small coin sized Lithium-Ion battery
that hold all of the CMOS settings in place when the unit is shut down. This
includes Hard drive size, memory amount, and time and date. If the battery
is removed from the unit or goes dead these setting will have to be reset.

Save all work, exit all applications, and shut down the computer. 2. Remove
the modem/combo card cover and the modem/combo card 3. Disconnect the RTC
battery cable from the system board 4. Remove the battery from the base
assembly 5. Install new RTC battery into same slot
