How can I release or free a port.

Im trying to run an application but it says that the port is being used by
another aplication... How can I release this port in orther the application I
am intersted in could run ?

Hi Axel!

Do you know which port is been used? Once you know it you can see if there´s
an aplication listen on it with the "netstat -a" command.

Anyway there a file in c:\%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\ called
services. If you open it and try to find the port in cuestion you may have an
idea of who´s opening the port.
