You really would be better off asking google first about such technical
questions. Since you asked on a Mac apps newsgroup, I did a quick
google for "wombat Mac Apple", and found that Apple did indeed sell
wombats: google's very first match returned the information "Wombat
33 - Apple Macintosh Quadra 800". So "Wombat 33" was a project code
name for that model.

However, I don't know how to go about finding out whether there are
any of them still alive, in or outside Australia. Maybe others here can
give suggestions for locating their users?
