Prueba primero con esto:

Si a pesar de eso no puedes actualizar, localiza en tu disco duro un
archivo llamado "windowsupdate.log" y postea aquí las líneas
correspondientes al último intento de actualización.

Tengo un problema con Windows Update en un ordenador de sobremesa.

hace algún tiempo no consigue cargar con éxito las actualizaciones;

mucho que lo intento no hay manera. La copia de Windows Xp es legal

pero sigo sin conseguir que se actualice. Lo que viene a continuación son
las últimas líneas de la carpeta "windowsupdate.log" No sé si necesitarás

Problema resuelto. El parche del Panda ha sido la solución (claro que la
clave era saber que había que instalarlo).
