my pc is infected with a strain of sasser, i have plenty
of info of how to remove the worm but my pc shuts down
before i can run any programs in order to disable it,
with this message 'WHEN TRYING TO UPDATE A PASSWORD THIS
RETURN STATUS INDICATES THAT THE VALUE PROVIDED AS THE
CURRENT PASSWORD IS NOT CORRECT. I have no password set
on my pc. Any suggestions as to whats causing this

Go into Safe Mode (tap F8 repeatedly as the computer is
starting up).
This will get you the right menu and choose plain old Safe
Mode, not
Safe Mode With Networking. I assume you have Win2k or XP.
If you have
XP Home Edition, choose the Administrator account. The
default password
is blank. Once in Safe Mode, you can run av tools to get
the machine
cleaned up enough to install a full-featured av program.
