P4 a 5,25 GHz

Tom's Hardware in a paroxism of a "Damn torpedoes..." attitude sucessfully
completed an impressive overclocking project - using liquid nitrogen-based
cooler they have successfully achieved 5.25 GHz operating speed using P4
3GHz 800 FSB CPU. The peak power drain was 96 amperes from the voltage
regulator feeding the CPU. The power dissipation was about 185W (1.6 MW/sq.
m). Actual FSB was 309MHz (1236 in terms of 800MHz FSB). The recorded CPU
temperature was about -190 C

This was done mostly with stock hardware (except the motherboard, which has
been outfitted with a custom voltage regulator), so in terms of car racing
this was a stock car race. Sort of...
