errores que no entiendo

¿Se ha dejado un floppy puesto en la disquetera?

Consultarles que el ordenador de mi chaval se ha reiniciado cuando jugaba
a un juego por internet y al arrancar y leer la Bios le sale lo siguiente:

Err. 5 : Error Finding VFLOPPY.SYS
Err. 8 : Fake Floppy driver not found
Press any key to boot active partition.

Cuando pulso una tecla me sale:

Err. 3 : Operating System missing.

Y ahí se queda con la pantalla en negro y esos errores.
¿Alguna idea antes de llevarlo al técnico?

Solution: Error 8 Fake Floppy driver not found VFLOPPY.SYS

NOTE: If you encounter Error 8 "Fake Floppy driver not found; press any key
to boot active partition" when using Drive Image with Windows XP or after
using BootDisk Builder to create a virtual floppy, please see PowerQuest
Solution ID 767 for information on fixing the problem.


To get around Error 8 "Fake Floppy driver not found VFLOPPY.SYS," try the
following:

- Make sure that there is a VFLOPPY.SYS file in the VFD directory (which is
located inside the directory where your PowerQuest program is installed).

- Make sure that the file attributes for VFLOPPY.SYS are not set to hidden
or read-only. (Right-click on the file and select Properties to view file
attributes.)

- Run a thorough ScanDisk on the drive from which you are running the
PowerQuest program.

- Uninstall and reinstall the PowerQuest program that is reporting the
error.

If the errors persist, send the file VFNSTDBG.TXT to PowerQuest Technical
Support. (This file is located in the VFD directory inside the PowerQuest
product directory.) Also send PowerQuest Technical Support the information
outlined in PowerQuest Solution 102, "Information Needed for a Trouble
Report."
