Migración de Cluster

1.-Paras los servicios de cluster

2.-Actualiza un nodo a 2003

3.-Levanta ese nodo(el otro que esté apagado) y revisa que inicia correctamente. Levanta el servicio de cluster y comprueba que arranca y levanta todos los recursos

4.-Apaga dicho nodo. Enciende el otro y repite el proceso

Cuando tengas los 2 nodos levantados prueba el failover entre ellos

El Cluster consta de 2 nodos y da servicio de Ficheros e
impresión, también tiene clusterizado el DHCP y el Wins,
pero ésto sería lo de menos si hay que retirarlo en el
proceso de actualización

Con ese método tienes parada de servicio...Con un Rolling Upgrade, lo puedes
hacer sin que haya parada...

Resumen:
2 nodos encendidos: A y B

1.- Pasas todos los recursos a un nodo (ej: B)
2.- Pausas el Nodo A
3.- Actualizas A a Windows 2003. "Des-pausa"/Resume el nodo A
4.- Pasas todos los recursos de B a A
5.- Pausas el nodo B

7.- Re-equilibra los recursos (en caso de activo/activo) como desees.

Detallado:

To perform a rolling upgrade from Windows 2000

1.. Confirm that your systems are running Windows 2000 and use resources
that are supported during a rolling upgrade, as described in "Resource
behavior during rolling upgrades" in Related Topics.
2.. Confirm that your hardware is designed for or is compatible with
Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition. For more information, see
"Checklist: Preparation for upgrading a cluster" in Related Topics.
3.. In Cluster Administrator, click the node that you want to upgrade
first.
4.. On the File menu, click Pause Node.
5.. In the right details pane, click Active Groups.
6.. In the details pane, click a group, and then on the File menu, click
Move Group. Repeat this step for each group listed.
The services will be interrupted during the time they are being moved and
restarted on the other node. After the groups are moved, one node is idle,
and the other node handles all client requests.

7.. Use Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition Setup to upgrade the
paused node from Windows 2000.
For information about starting Setup, see Related Topics.

Setup detects the earlier version of clustering on the paused node and
automatically installs clustering for Windows Server 2003, Enterprise
Edition. The node automatically rejoins the cluster at the end of the
upgrade process, but it is still paused and does not handle any
cluster-related work.

Notes

a.. As you begin the setup process, you will receive a warning message
about using the tempdrive option for Setup. Provided you have followed the
preceding steps, you can click OK and proceed with Setup without using this
option.
b.. Manage Your Server will appear when you initially log on to the
newly upgraded node as an Administrator. Close Manage Your Server to
continue with the rolling upgrade.
7.. To verify that the node that was upgraded is fully functional, perform
validation tests such as confirming that the operating system recognizes
your network connections and, using Device Manager, ensuring that the
operating system recognizes all of your storage devices.
8.. In Cluster Administrator, click the node that was paused, and then on

Estoy de acuerdo con Ramon, solo quisiera agregar un consejo mas:
Actualmente estoy actualizando los exchange cluster de w2k a w2k3, he tenido
varios dolores de cabaza con los driver de IBM por lo cual en vez de
actualizar el sistema operativo hago una instalacion de 0, si es un cluster
este es el procedimiento que hago y funciona muy bien (MS soporta este
metodo tambien):

1- Pasar todos los recursos a nodo A
2- desinstalar los servicios de cluster en nodo B, remover el servidor del
dominio.
3- Instalar w2k3 en nodo B
4- Hacer un "Join" al cluster
5- Instalar ex2k3 bin files
6- Mover todos los recursos a nodo B
7- Remover nodo A del cluster y remover el servidor del dominio
8- Instalar w2k3 en nodo A
9- Conectar nodo A al cluster
10- Instalar ex2k3 bin files

Por ahi les es util :-)

Desconozco el estado actual de los drivers de IBM...pero en el pasado
(Netifinity's 5000, 5500, 7000 y algunos xSeries) los servidores Intel IBM y
MS Cluster juntos muchas veces no daban más que "problemas"...

No hay más que acordarse de la ipsha**.dll y aquellas instalaciones con
Localquorom, instalación de la famosa utilidad para la ServeRaid y una vez
que teníamos acceso a la cabina, pasar el quorum a la misma a través de un
recurso de Disco propio (no el recurso de disco por defecto)
