Hola, quiero poner una bbdd sql server en el servidor y me dicen q para
darla de alta necesito una utilidad de sql server (SERVER NETWORK UTILIY),
he iniciado la instalacion pero no lo veo... he de instalar todo?

3.1.4. How do I create a "Server Alias"?

Open the "Server Network Utility". You can access this from your SQL
Server´s programs group if you have installed the "client utilities" for

Server. Otherwise, in Windows, click START, select "Run" and type in
"cliconfig" and click OK.


Select the "Alias" tab and click "Add". In "Server Alias" textbox, enter

friendly name (like "WMH SQL"). From the protocols list on the left-side,
select "TCP/IP". In the right-hand side "Server Name" textbox, type in
"db.europe.webmatrixhosting.net". Make sure "Dynamically determine port"

unchecked and enter the port number from your "My Server" page.

La utilidad Server Network Utility se utiliza para configurar las NETLibs
del Servidor.
Si lo que deseas es crear una nueva DB, deberías utilizar el Enterprise
Manager de SQL Server.

te explico, la bbdd la tengo, pero tengo q subir a webmatrixhosting (para

q tengo q crear el alias en webmatrixhosting). Eso lo hago con el
enterprise manager?
