Distribution of RC EXE

Hi,

I have little confusion for use RC compiler. I am not sure, how to get RC
compiler installed in machine. It seems, it comes with Visual Studio. It
does not look practical to have VS just for RC compiler. I have checked the
dependency of RC compiler through dependency walker. It seems, RC.exe needs
RCDLL.dll.

RC.exe and RCDLL.dll might be packaged along with my product. If I go for
this option, I may need to consider distribution factor. I am not sure; it
could be distributed freely or we need some license for this. Please let me
know your view.

Regards,
Ravindra Kishore

Hi, Ravindra:

For your next posts in english, please refer to the english groups. Groups
with .es. in their names are just for spanish.

As to your question, to my knowledge RC.EXE is part of Visual Studio, and it
is not a frfeely redistributable component. So you should not include it in
your package without a previous commercial agreement with MS.

Salud!
