conoces alguna configuracion para un sistema de 4GB en la que el SQL tome
mas de 3GB?
por lo que estuve leyendo no es posible.

Me gustaria que leyeras en lo libros en linea, el topico "Managing AWE
Memory".

Si cuando SQL Server arranca, hay menos de 3 GB de memoria libre
disponible, entonces manejata la memoria de forma dinamica y sin importar el
valor de configuracion de "awe enabled", SQL Server correra en modo no-AWE.

si eso ya lo sabia, pero de todas formas parece que no se puede tomar mas de
3gb. mira esta tablita:

4GB RAM: /3GB (AWE support is not used)
8GB RAM: /3GB /PAE
16GB RAM: /3GB /PAE
16GB + RAM: /PAE

es un desperdicio de ram esa arquitectura

The /3GB switch allows the OS to use only 1GB and SQL Server 3GB instead of
2GB and 2GB.

With 4GB of RAM, the most you can use is 2.7GB for SQL Server as SQL Server
needs to leave 384MB for the MemToLeave area.
