explorer.exe se cae al buscar un archivo en winxp

hola
cuando voy a buscar un archivo me aparece un mensaje d error de
explorer.exe por lo que al cerrar el error el escritorio se reinicia
durante 1 o 2 segundos. la solucion del Cd de xp no me funciona
¿teneis otra?
