IE7 no se puede instalar

Ayuda Hacer una pregunta
Tenía XP SP3, lo desinstalé, ahora tengo SP2, y probé todas las soluciones
posibles indicadas, pero el IE7 sigue sin instalarse. ¿Qué se puede hacer?
Intenté contactarme directamente con MS pero me piden números de servicios
que no sé si existen, más allá del # de producto y no llego a contactarlos
para solucionar el problema. Si alguien por favor sabe cómo, y me puede
ayudar, estaré agradecida.
Aclaro que lo tenía instalado, pero al formatear el equipo, obviamente
desapareció y no llegó como actualización hasta después de instalarse el SP3.
Desde entonces tengo el mensaje de error.

He pegado el comando tal cual y en la propia consola me ha respondido así :
"secedit" no se reconoce como un comando interno o externo, programa o
archivo por lotes ejecutable

no se pudo finalizar" y he probado todos los inicios, desactivar el AV y
Firewall, desactivando la casilla de actualizaciones y antimalware de la

Hazlo de esta forma: inicia de nuevo una consola de comandos (cmd) y escribe:

cd %windir%\system32

y pulsa Enter. A continuación, escribe el comando anterior y pulsa Enter:

secedit /configure /cfg %windir%epair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose

Sigue estos pasos para solucionarlo:

1. Con privilegios administrativos, inicia el editor del registro (regedit) y lo caliza la siguiente clave:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{34A715A0-6587-11D0-924A-0020AFC7AC4D}

2. Selecciona la clave y pulsa en Edición > Permisos.

3. En el cuadro "Nombres de grupos o usuarios", comprueba que exista el grupo "Administradores (Equipo\Administradores)". Si no existe, deberás agregarlo.

4. Una vez agregado, selecciónalo y, en el cuadro "Permisos de Administradores", marca la casilla Control total. Aplica los cambios.

5. Cierra el editor del registro, reinicia el sistema y prueba de nuevo la instalación e IE7.

Sigue estos pasos para solucionarlo:

1. Con privilegios administrativos, inicia el editor del registro (regedit) y lo caliza la siguiente clave:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\{34A715A0-6587-11D0-924A-0020AFC7AC4D}

2. Selecciona la clave y pulsa en Edición > Permisos.

3. En el cuadro "Nombres de grupos o usuarios", comprueba que exista el grupo "Administradores (Equipo\Administradores)". Si no existe, deberás agregarlo.

4. Una vez agregado, selecciónalo y, en el cuadro "Permisos de Administradores", marca la casilla Control total. Aplica los cambios.

5. Cierra el editor del registro, reinicia el sistema y prueba de nuevo la instalación e IE7.
