I am trying to find good online malware scanners available for free use, on
demand. It's a good idea to have a second opinion, so to speak, to what your
regular onboard malware software has to report about your systems security
and/or privacy.
Searching, I have found some that are downright frauds, and some that are so
limited and cursory as to be a waste of time. Some are even dangerous to
your system. Run, don't walk, from anything with "Spywarehunter" in its
name. Very bad boy. "Spykiller" is also one to avoid.
Here are some good ones I've found so far:

Symantec(Norton)>http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/...d=ie&v
enid=sym&close_parent=true&plfid#&pkj=RPFKPJUIYCZRWEJGSSK

McAfee>http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp

Panda>http://www.pandasoftware.com/active...ncipal.htm

PC Flank>http://www.pcflank.com/trojans_test1.htm

TrendMicro's
Housecall>http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hou...t_corp.asp

BitDefender>http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

Webroot's Spy Audit>http://www.webroot.com/services/spyaudit.htm

PestPatrol>http://www.pestscan.com/

Please feel free to point out others worth considering(or to avoid). I am
looking for all the good ones.
TIA,
PZ
