I did not mean to hide my identity, I almost always include my
affiliation with my signature but I forgot to sign this message.

To further expand on my original message, DoubleTake does not provide
true clustering. They are primarily a data replication company that
does offer some rudimentary system level monitoring. They do not
provide application level monitoring which is required of a true
clustering solution.

However, there are third party vendors, including SteelEye that do
provide clustering capabilities for Windows Standard edition, as well
as SQL Standard and Exchange Standard. The vendors that come to mind
are SteelEye, Neverfail, XOSoft and Veritas.

I know my opinion as a employee of one of these companies carries very
little weight - so I encourage you to try them out and compare their
features. SteelEye offers a 30-day free trial as do most of the
competitors listed.

Thanks for clarifying, David.

By the way, PolyServe is also a good product to consider.
http://www.polyserve.com/

We have Neverfail for Sharepoint in productive servers and it woks fine.

We also have DoubleTake for DMZ servers which requires High Availability for
specific Clinical Trials products and it is also working fine.

PolyServe is really a clustered file system solution and they seem to
have some solutions to address server sprawl. It is really overkill if
you want a simple HA solution.
