To use the search feature:

- one options is when in a instant message conversation,
highlight the text you want to search, then right click,
and select search

I want to find a person whom I haven't chatted with.
e.g. I want to find a person like studying English, in USA,female.etc.

- or in the messenger main window, type your search query
and click search

It will find everything but account.

To add someone to the list :

- Go to the messenger main window (contact list)
on the top menu, click contacts then click 'add a contact'.

This method needs one's account like name@hotmail.com which I haven't got
before searching.

- or on the messenger main window, choose the add a contact
button located next to the msn search and advertisement
banner :)

This method needs one's account like name@hotmail.com which I haven't got
before searching.
Have you used "contact-search contact-advanced search/search by interest"?
How to use and get a whole account --not name only but "@hotmail.com or
@xxx.com" also.
Don't tell me it must be "@hotmail.com." Mine is not.
:-)

Hello Jim,
Your post was missplaced in the MSN Messenger (spanish spoken) forum. Anyway, we can give you some help:
If you want to find a Hotmail user's profile you need to do a search in http://members.msn.com/default.msnw

Yes, you will need to sign-in with a Passport account. Don't worry if you haven't a Hotmail account, you can sign with the same account used in the MSN Messenger.
