Ayuda Hacer una pregunta
Hola Javier:

Tengo varios servidores w2k pero me preocupan 3 de ellos.

Srv1: Maestro de esquema, de nombres de dominio, infraestructura, RID,
Emulador PDC y Global Catalog
Srv2: Global Catalog
Srv3:Global Catalog

Necesito montar un nuevo Servidor 2003 con AD. He visto una de tus
respuestas que pongo a continuación.
¿Serían los mismos pasos a dar en mi caso en concreto?
¿Hay algun problema al tener AD en servidores W2k y w2003 conjuntamente?

Los pasos serían:

Paso 0.-Preparar el esquema y metabase del AD para soportar 2003

Domain Controller

1.-Instalar el nuevo server de 0

2.-Configurarle para que apunte como DNS principal a sí mismo y como
secundario al DC existente (o el DNS que lleve la carga del AD).

3.-Promoverlo a DC y reiniciar

4.-Hacerle Global Catalog y establecer la configuración IP de los equipos
para que apunen como DNS a dicho DC

Si vas a quitar el existente (yo lo dejaría por si acaso), no olvides
traspasarle los 5 FSMO también.

Después déjale apagado un par de días para ver qué tal va la cosa, y si no
hay problemas, enciendes y despromocionas.

Hola!

Actualmente tengo un domain controller con win 2k advanced server, y
quiero actualizar a win 2003 enterprise dition.Sin embargo, también se
quiere
cambiar el hardware. Cuales serían las recomendaciones a seguir?

Nota: En el server actual no soportaría la actualkización de windows
2003.

Agradeciendon enormemente alguas sugerencias, tips o referencias de
consulta.

Hola Javier,
Creo que todo el problema viene porque el SRV3 lo tengo detras de un
firewall .Ademas es un exchange DC y tras leer varia documentacion he de
abrir determinados puertos para que la replicacion pueda realizarse sin
problemas. Así que he dedidido hacerle un Dcpromo para quitarle como DC y
así evitar problemas de repliacion y tener que tocar el firewall.

No obstante la replicacion manual entre SRV1 y SRV2 es correcta,
entonces...no debo hacer caso a los eventid de estos equipos?

a los eventid de esos equipos no es necesario; del SRV3, nopodrás hacer un
dcpromo puesto que no podrá comunicarse por el firewall con los otros DCs
para degradarse correctamente; tienes 2 opciones:

o crear temporalmente una regla que permita todo de la IP de ese DC con los
otros 2 DCs e intentar despromocionar y después ya quitar dicha regla y
dejar la que tuvieras por defecto

Tienes razon...si no replica tampoco podre degradarlo, intentare una de esas
dos opciones.
