I have read a lot about slow Windows XP Pro startup, but I have not
found any thing thas solves my problem yet.
It delays 3 minutes to start, after typing user and password, then,
everythings goes right.
I have a Latitude D600, attached to a W2003 network. I use DHCP to
assing IP addresses because I move from one office to another
frequently.
I tried to assing an IP address manually, did not work. I assigned
also the right DNS address, in the TCP/IP configuration sheet (I
usually have it to be solved by the DHCP server). No change.
It takes the same time, even if I am not plugged to the network
(local).
I used msconfig and found out the WorkStation service was the problems
(svchost), but disabling it, I have no network.
Some one could help?
