Windows XP Client Connect Problems

I am having trouble with a Windows XP machine connecting to my SBS server.

In the application log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1006
Date: 4/14/2004
Time: 7:35:04 PM
User: DOMAIN\User
Computer: XXX
Description:
Windows cannot bind to DoaminName.local domain. (Invalid Credentials). Group
Policy processing aborted.

I also get in the System log:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: LSASRV
Event Category: SPNEGO (Negotiator)
Event ID: 40961
Date: 4/14/2004
Time: 7:35:04 PM
User: N/A
Computer: XXX
Description:
The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server
LDAP/SBS.DoaminName.local. No authentication protocol was available.

When the problem occurs I get an "unkown user error" if I try and access one
of the shares on the server. And I have to provide a user name and password
if I try and browse the web.

The password box that pops up when I go to the web, pops up a sugested user
name that is the users first and last name, not the users login name.

ie: DOMAIN\UserFirstName UserLAstName

Any ideas?

John

This is the spanish SBS NG... you should post your question on one of the
English NGs:

SBS 4/4.5 : microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz
SBS 2000 : microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000
SBS 2003 : microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

BTW-> What version of SBS are you talking about? Post a ipconfig /all of the
server and the workstation in question.
