Error en Windows XP

problema de lectura, desde donde instalas, error, bien el cd esta mal, o el hdd..

Desde hace unos días al instalar algunos programas
(fundamentalmente juegos de ordenador ORIGINALES) me da un
error que dice: Error de datos (comprobaciónde redundancia
cíclica) ¿Qué es esto? ¿De dónde viene? ¿Es un
problema del windows installer? Gracias.
