Actualizaciones automáticas no funciona

Hola a todos:

Desde hace unos días, al iniciar mi PC, Actualizaciones automáticas notifica que hay nuevas actualizaciones y comienza a descargar los parches, sin embargo éste se queda en 0% y cierra su ícono en el área de notificación. Por consiguiente no actualiza nada.

¿Porqué pasa esto? ¿Será necesario que actualize mediante Windows Update ahora?

Buenísimo el dato, desconocía que se podía forzar la búsqueda de nuevas actualizaciones. Por fin estoy descargando los parches desde Actualizaciones Automáticas. :-D

Ejecuta "wuauclt /detectnow" (sin comillas). Esto forzará al servicio de
actualizaciones automáticas a conectarse inmediatamente al servidor de
actualizaciones (Microsoft Update, Windows Update, un servidor SUS o un
servidor WSUS).

De todas formas, el problema parece estar relacionado con estas líneas:

La causa podría ser una saturación de los servidores de descarga de
actualizaciones. Si las actualizaciones automáticas siguen sin bajar a tu
equipo, ve a Windows Update o busca en el centro de descargas
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads) por el título de cada actualización.

Hola Ramón:
Ya eliminé entrando en modo seguro, las carpetas CatRoot2, y SoftwareDistribution, como se había indicado en otros posts del hilo.
Luego ejecuté: wuauclt /detectnow
y no parece tener ningún efecto.
Entré a la página de Windows Update, detectó las 8 actualizaciones. Bajé sólo una, la KB 902400, y mientras se descargaba, apareció el escudito, mostrando el avance. Se instaló sola, pidió reiniciar, lo que ya hice, y en la siguiente conexión vuelve a aparecer el escudito por unos segundos, y no empieza la descarga de los otros 7 updates.

Pero ahora los mensajes del WindowsUpdate.log son otros. Quizás los puedas interpretar. Corresponden a la conexión iniciada a las 16:07. Comentame si te dicen algo más que a mí.

Échale un vistazo a esto y revisa que tengas bien los tres servicios
fundamentales. Incluso vuelve a reinstalarlos:

Muchas gracias por contestar.
A simple vista están bien los servicios de Windows Update y el de cifrado, pero el bits aparece en Iniciado y Automático, en lugar de en Manual y no iniciado. (¿aun estando conectada debe estar en manual y no iniciado?)
Mañana con más tiempo, haré la reinstalación como indica la página que me indicaste.

¿tenés idea de si no se habrá corrupto al descargar a mano la Actualización para Windows XP (KB906569)? Fue lo único que hice entre dos actualizaciones automáticas desde Windows Update?
