con problemas parecidos a los tuyos

va a ser un pelín complicado depurar donde está el error, el
articulo de la KB que te dejaba es muy preciso en sus instrucciones. No
obstante, te comento, que no veo nada raro en esos archivos, llevan la
configuración por defecto de winxp, en el config.nt, te sugiero que
hagas las modificaciones que se indican en ese articulo de la kb, para
ese archivo, y que adicionalmente, revises estos archivos (win.ini,
autoexec.bat, sistem.ini), esto lo puedes hacer tecleando desde
inicio/ejecutar, el comando "sysedit", si existiera el archivo
autoexec.bat, renombralo a autoexec.old y lo mismo con config.sys,
respecto a system.ini y win.ini, estos no tienen ninguna finalidad en
winxp, y unicamente se proveen para compatibilidad con viejas
aplicaciones de 16 bits, si tienes alguna duda respecto a su
configuracióon, posteanos el contenido de esos archivos.

operacion ilegal con el NTVDM CPU

Pegame el contenido de tus ficheros autoexec.nt y config.nt,
paralelamente, teclea el comando "set" (omite comillas) desde una
consola y dejame la salida.
