Microsoft Update: "Buscando..."

A ver, te dejo el resto de recursos de los que tengo documentacion:

Sigue estos pasos, comenzando por el punto 6.

1.-Acepta los controles ActiveX al entrar en la web de Windows Update en el
caso que sea solicitado:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

2.-Cambia la seguridad de Internet Explorer a seguridad "media":

Herramientas - Opciones de Internet - Seguridad - Seleccionar "Internet" -
Seleccionar "Media" - Aplicar - Cerrar y reiniciar IE

3.-Deshabilita cualquier antivirus residente que tuvieras.

4.-Borra los archivos temporales de Internet, las cookies y el Historial:

Herramientas - Opciones de Internet - General - Eliminar archivos Marca
tambien la casilla "eliminar todo contenido sin conexion"

-Eliminar cookies
-Borrar Historial

5.-Recuerda estar logeado como administrador o como usuario con derechos
administrativos

6.-Borra el siguiente archivo o renombralo:

X:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2

donde X es la letra de la unidad donde se encientra XP

Informacion adiccional, solo en el caso que lo anterior no soluciones el
problema:

-Borrar el contenido de la carpeta (oculta) Archivos de Programa\Windows
Update, ***excepto el fichero iuhist.xml de la carpeta V4, y la propia
carpeta que lo aloja***

-En Inicio-Buscar escribe: WUTemp, y borra (manda a la papelera) todas las
carpetas que encuentres con ese nombre.

-Entra a la carpeta X:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files y borra el control:
Update Class.

7.-Borra también las librerías asociadas segun las instrucciones del KB:

(especialmente en el apartado: Remove the Windows Update ActiveX controls).

8.-Al reiniciar, ejecuta el liberador de espacio en disco para borrar los
archivos temporales.

9.-IMPORTANTE: Desactiva con msconfig.exe ficha Inicio programas que puedan
interferir al navegador como Antivirus, firewall, acelereradores de
navegación, etc.

Igualmente, verifica que NO exista un Servidor Proxy en la Configuración de
Conexiones (en Propiedades de Internet- Conexiones).

10.-Comprueba en el registro que no tengas deshabilitadas las funciones de
actualización. Fíjate en estos puntos:

- Borra o pon a cero la info. de los valores DisableWindowsUpdateAccess y
NoWindowsUpdate en las claves:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\­Policies\WindowsUpdate
y
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\­Policies\Explorer

- Borra o pon a cero la info. de los valores DisableWindowsUpdateAccess y
NoWindowsUpdate en las claves:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\­Policies\WindowsUpdate
y
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\­Policies\Explorer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mi­crosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion­\WindowsUpdate

Bueno, ahi puse mi IP interna en DMZ en la config del router
(supuestamente abre TODOS los puertos) y sigue igual. :S
No creo que sea ese el problema.

Pues desactiva el router del router y deja solo el de SP2, el
cortafuegos del router solo sirve para dar problemas.

busca 30 o 40 lineas del log y postealas. A ver si damos con el

codigo de error 0x8024001B, pero posteiormente microsoft update, busca y
encuentra actualizacoines automaticas para el equipo y no hay errores

uff... se le ha enviado un control de "parada" al servicio de
actualizaciones automaticas pero el servicio en si no esta parado, sino
en estado de "parada pendiente", el motivo lo ignoro... trata de pararlo
manualmente desde .la consola, con un "net stop wuauserv" ¿da algún
fallo?, posteriormente vuelvelo a iniciar, con un "net start wuauserv" y
dinos si da errores al iniciarlo

Has dicho que tienes el nod32 instalado, no?

Ese error me pasa a mí lo mismo, con lo que he posteado hace un mes en el
foro de win2000. Se me ha indicado que sería el tema de los permisos de
seguridad aplicada(cosa que no lo es).

A mi me sucedía lo mismo - entre otras - luego de aplicar/ejecutar
varias de las sugerencias de este grupo.
Te "pego" lo que escribí el 24/7 (tal vez te ayude; ¡espero que resuelva
tu inconveniente!):

El error que me arrojaba era el 0x8007041D; otras veces el 0x80070420.
Seguí todas las indicaciones sugeridas en el grupo (Eduardo, Alezito,
José Gallardo, fermu, Enrique), y recién pude solucionarlo

reinstalando >el SP2 (el cual en su proceso informó de un par de
archivos faltantes o >con errores, no recuerdo bien).

Ahora funciona como debiera.
