Tengo configurado el IE para que no abra ninguna página por defecto. Si
quito este elemento, va a la página de msn. ¿es posible que sea un error?

anterior no lo tenia... y que esta version te ha encontrado en tu maquina.

No, para nada. Te lo va a dejar por defecto. Por lo tanto, puedes poner
cualquier otro enlace que te plazca en las opciones del Internet Explorer.

Pulsa el botón derecho del ratón en el Internet Explorer que tienes en tu
escritorio(si no es así, mira en el otro paso), y en la misma pestaña que
tienes delante, te puedes configurar para dónde quieres que te sea la
página de inicio del IE.

O abre el Internet Explorer, vás a la barra de menú y a Herramientas,
picas en Opciones de Internet, y en la primerísima pestaña, colocas
cualquier dirección que quieras. Por ejemplo: http://es.yahoo.com o como
más te guste.

Todo sea dicho de paso, se puede poner un periódico, o un site que quieras
visitar y ver si está actualizando contínuamente, etc...
