Windows Update no actualiza

Tengo el Pc configurado para que se actualice automaticamente, pues bien
cuando lo enciendo sale el escudito amarillo para descargar las
actualizaciones y a los 20 segundos aproximandamente desaparece sin que se
descargue nada, todos los meses me pasa lo mismo y la unica forma de
actualizar que funciona es hacerlo manualmente, ¿alguno sabe que puede pasar?

Enrique, el Panda no es,lo he desinstalado y nada
Las 10 librerias las he registrado, he reiniciado y no funciona
Y por ultimo he intentado reinstalar el servicio BITS ejecutando el comando
que me indicas y me sale una pantalla que me indica:Se necesita el archivo
"gmgr.dll" en CD de Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2" y yo tengo el SP
1 ¿alguna sugerencia?

Desde el menú Inicio > ejecutar, ejecuta los siguientes comandos para
volver a registrar algunas librerías relacionadas con el servicio de
Actualizaciones Automáticas:

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll

Después de los registros, reinicia el sistema y comprueba si se ha
solucionado. Si sigue el problema (se cierra el servicio), reinstala el
servicio de BITS (Background Intelligente Transfer Service), ejecutando
el siguiente comando:

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%SystemRoot%\inf\qmgr.inf

(ojo, porque el comando puede quedar cortado en dos líneas; existe un
espacio entre 132 y %)

Te pedirá el CD de instalación de Windows XP para reinstalar la liberría
*qmgr.dll*. Una vez reinstalado el servicio, registra de nuevo la
librería:

Inicio > ejecutar > regsvr32 qmgr.dll

Reinicia el sistema y comprueba. Coméntanos.

Te aclaro, cuando me compré el ordenador solo existia el SP1 (en Septiembre
2003) el SP2 se descargó automaticamente a traves de las actualizaciones
automaticas. ¿hay alguna solucion?
