Windows Update no actualiza

Tengo configurado para descargar las actualizaciones en
Automatico(Recomendado) y no se actualiza, si lo cambio a cualquier otra
configuracion tampoco, la unica forma de actualizar es hacerlo de forma
"manual". Esto me está pasando desde hace varios meses.(El Servicio de BITS
está en Manual/Desactivado que es como debe de estar), podeis decirme si hay
alguna forma de arreglar este problema.

Uf !!!

Creo que lo mejor será formatear y acabaré mas rapido. Pregunta:¿si instalo
el XP SP1 supongo que volveré a tener el mismo problema, no creeis que lo
mejor será instalar el XP con el SP2 ya integrado ?

Pero si sólo tienes que hacer esto: En cmd ejecutar:

sc sdset bits

(es una sola línea) y luego

Pues viendo el historial por fechas de cuando se descargan automaticamente
sin problema todo empieza a partir de la instalacion del SP2 que me salió
en
windows Update como lista para descargar. Lo de formatear mas que nada lo
decia por acabar antes con el problema instalando el CD del XP SP2
