need help installing windows me for dual boot

I have windows xp installed on partition 1 in disk 0 it is ntfs as well as
partition 2. I have created a primary partition on disk 0, partition 3
(fat32) and I want to install windows millennium on it as a dual boot. I am
using bootit ng as my boot manager. I followed the instructions but as I am
installing windows me, I get the error "Cannot find or load krnl386.exe,
access to the file denied, system halted".

I have tried other boot managers and I even used fdisk to make that
partition active but no matter what I do, I keep getting the same error.

I did a surface scan of the partition and found no errors.

Any ideas?

Thank You

It's need to install Xp first if you want dual boot. Xp writes some archives at Win ME instalation that are necesary for booting.
And it's a spanish NG. Please, put your question at microsoft.public.windowsme.setup
Saludos cordiales. Ivan
