I apologize if it is not appropriate to post an elgish announcement here
but i thought you could get the idea of the programs.

I've put some of my (Windows) freeware up at a new site we are starting.
All of these programs come with full installer/uninstaller, and help files,
etc. I'd love to get feedback and talk about new requested features etc. on
our forum.

you'll find more info and screenshots of all of these on our website
www.donationcoder.com; i hope you will come and take a look and see
if it's something you want to lend your support to.

Process Tamer
A tiny (100k) efficient app for windows xp/2k that runs in the system tray
and detects programs that are hogging cpu processes and temporarily reduces
their priority to keep your pc responsive:

Drag and Drop Robot
A bit hard to explain - basically its a flexible gui drag and drop tool for
running other commandline tools; you can define lots of configurations, for
example you might make one for zipping folders, then whenever you want you
just drag folders onto its window and it will zip them one at a time, etc.:

Find and Run Robot:
Runs in your tray, you hit the break key to bring it up, then start typing
the name of a program or something else in your start menu, it finds
matches as you type, then you hit a key to launch. basically its a launch
tool for keyboard maniacs. Super configurable but also super easy right
from installation without any configuration at all:

Url Snooper:
Sniffs network traffic and extracts the hidden urls of streaming media
files; has been around and used by lots of people for many years;recentlyy
had some major new features added to it:

Google Translator Boomerang:
A silly little program that uses the Google Translation engine to translate
your english text to foreign languages and then back again into english,
for some amusing results.

Mircryption
set of encryption tools for irc (open source for win/linux/mac osx)
very large international user base.

2-XL Simulator
Flash based simulator for a talking robot toy from 1978. :)

There will be more programs to come soon, and updates to the above as well.
And some programmer's libraries as well once we can get it organized.
Like I said i'd be happy to discuss feature suggestions on our forum.

We are trying hard to do something different on our site, while keeping our
software completely free. We have started doing in depth reviews of the
best programs in different categories, and on monday we will begin a series
of blogging columns on various issues in software; and we have been
negotiating 50% discounts from companies whose software has won
our recommendation (some amazing deals on some amazing software).

Note that we are not accepting any advertisements of commissions on
software, we are simply trying to provide a useful site in return for
voluntary user donations. I hope you guys will give us a look - if you
find the software useful but don't want to donate that's cool too.
