Error al instalar

¿Cuándo quieres instalar qué? ¿Me explicas lo que has leído en readme? Lo siento, pero yo no he entendido nada

Disculpa, el prog. que quiero instalar es VISIO 2000. Y me
sale el sgte mensaje:

Installing Program Files locally... failed.

\Install\bin\Program Files\Visio\Visio32.exe. Verify

The rest of the install was cancelled.

Esto sucede cuando quiero instalar EN WINDOWS XP
PROFESIONAL, en win98 instalaba sin problemas, he leido en
readme y dice S.O hasta win98. que debe realizarse para
instalar en Win XP.
