errores pantalla azul al instalar windows xp

Hola:
Tengo un HP Compaq DC7600 con windows xp sp 2 que se bloqueaba
constantemente, decidí formatearlo e instalar de nuevo el sistema operativo.
Cuando arranco desde el cd de instalación me pide el restore plus, yo lo
introduzco y a continuación me pide el de windows XP, Y CUANDO está en plena
actualización me sale el siguiente error:

A problem has been detected an windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
If this is the first time you've sean this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in
the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for
driver updates. Thy changing video adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory
options such as caching os shadowing.
If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your
computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, an then select Safe
Mode.

El archivo "cdfs.sys" indica que el problema está en el acceso de datos
de la unidad de CD de ese equipo. Puede que esté fallando la unidad y
tendrás que reemplazarla.

Quizá también sea un error de lectura provocado por un módulo de memoria
RAM defectuoso. Para comprobar esto último, utiliza una herramienta para
diagnosticar la memoria como las que encuentras aquí

- La de Microsoft, http://oca.microsoft.com/es/windiag.asp

Necesitarás utilizar otro equipo para poder crear el diskette/CD de
diagnóstico a utilizar.
