Any ideas how to put windows 98 (from a cd) on a pc with no operating system
and a scscsii cdrom drive that a 98 boot disk will not recognise?
Thanks
in advance

Was the drive fdisked?
Was the drive formatted?
Can you get to a dos prompt?
Was the drive given a SCSI ID number (normally 0)
Does the SCSI cable have termination? (can be on the last device on the
cable or a termination block on the end of the cable).

You may need a different boot disc. try www.bootdisk.com

Create a boot up floppy from win98.
1.. Click: Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel
2.. Select Add/Remove Programs
3.. Click the Startup Disk tab, place a formatted blank floppy disk in the
floppy drive, and click the Create Disk button
Boot up the pc with floppy , select with cd rom support
type setup
and windows should start to load
if setup dont work..type cd win98 then setup.

hope this helps
