Cuando recibos mensajes a través del OWA ( Outlook Web Access ) me convierte los ficheros adjuntos en .dat ¿ A que es debido ?

solo me conecto como administrador

Tengo un servidor con Nt4 sp6, ISS, y MSExchange instaldo, le he levantado el srvicio FTP , pero solo me puedo conectar con el usuario administrador o uno con equivalencia de administrador, lomismo me ocurre cuando accedo via MS outlook Web access, ...
