Right click on My Computer and select Properties. On the following screen
click on the Hardware tab and then on Device Manager.

Click on Display Adapters and then on the entry for your graphics card or
adapter.

Once on that screen, click on the Driver tab. Then click on Roll Back
Driver and see if your screen display returns. You may have to reboot the
PC for it to take effect.

If that works do the same for the soundcard (or onboard soundchip). It will
under the Sounds, Video and Game Controllers entry of the Device manager.
